Dhiyamigili (Thaa Atoll)

Overview

Dhiyamigili is an inhabited island in Thaa Atoll administrative division and geographically part of the Kolhumadulu Atoll in the south of the Maldives. It is an island-level administrative constituency in south central province, governed by the Dhiyamigili Island Council.

This island is the birthplace of Mohammad Imaad-ud-deen, who ruled in the eighteenth century and founded a dynasty that lasted for 200 years. The ruins of his residence have been preserved to date.
