Eydhafushi (Baa Atoll)

Overview

Eydhafushi is an inhabited island in Baa Atoll administrative division and geographically part of the South Maalhosmadulu Atoll in the northern part of the Maldives. It is an island-level administrative constituency in north province, governed by the Eydhafushi Island Council.

Eydhafushi is the capital island of the Baa Atoll and has atoll council as well functioning in the island. Eydhafushi was renowned for the art and skill of weaving Feyli, a wraparound sarong with brown and black strands on its border traditionally worn by men and women. This is the highest populated island in Baa Atoll.
