Fiyoaree (Gaafu Dhaalu Atoll)

Overview

Fiyoaree is an inhabited island in Gaafu Dhaalu Atoll administrative division and geographically part of the Huvadhoo Atoll in the southern part of the Maldives. It is an island-level administrative constituency in upper south province, governed by the Fiyoaree Island Council.

There are several unexplored archaeological remains on this island. One of the most important such ruin would be the one that has found on the western side of the island with diameter of 32 feet. Filoaree has abundant of raw material of reeds which is used to produce traditionally woven mets.
