Dhiggaru (Meemu Atoll)

Overview

Dhiggaru is an inhabited island in Meemu Atoll administrative division and geographically part of the Mulaka Atoll in the south of the Maldives. It is an island-level administrative constituency in central province, governed by the Dhiggaru Island Council.

This island is famous for its fishing and Rihaakuru; a thick fish paste which forms an important part of the traditional local cuisine.
