Exciting Volleyball match
During our recent holiday in Fihalhohi, we were able to discover how great the passion for volleyball is for the staff working on the island. Before we left, I had seen on the Fihalhohi Facebook page that I usually follow that the island's volleyball team

Reef and snorkeling
This year we came to Biyadhoo for two weeks during the first half of July, which we knew to be a period a bit at risk as weather conditions. In fact, during our entire stay, except for a couple of days, the sky was now veiled, now wet, now a bit sunny, bu

Good experience for first Club Med stay
This was our first Club Med stay. We have read about the village concept and the GOs (Gentle organizers) and guest being the GMs (Gentle members )!! It certainly met our expectations of what we know about Club Med. Generally all the GOS were very helpful

Very good place
We were in Maaya the first two weeks of August 2012. The village is small (max 178 persons) , it is densely " lived " because the bungalow , in groups of 4 units, are lumped together. The privacy here is really low ( also because of the Maldivian open-air

This place is fabulous and really good value.
The all inclusive is breathtaking, we had five free excursions including the whale shark trip and also 30 minutes spa treatment per day. You have to consider this when you price up the resorts.

Very good resort with fantastic reef
For our fifth trip to the Maldives I choosed Vilamendhoo Resort.
The choice was a little bit difficult because in this price range we found at least four other interesting solutions. This time we gave much more importance to the reef quality .

You can find something better to the same price.
Having said that we visited the village only for a couple of days (thankfully), then we moved in close Vilamendhoo.
The village is a former Veratour, which is now run by Maldivians. It breathes an air of neglect, especially in services (catering and beac

Meedhupparu - good, but also improved
From mid May to early June we spent 15 days with our two young children at Meedhupparu. The island is beautiful, but it is good to know that it´s not possible to walk barefooted on the south side and that there is an ugly wall along the beach. Also, ther

I had an encounter with a manta ray at the drop-off!!
This was my second visit to Maldives, and my first to Eriyadu.
This time, my daughter, who turned 8 during the trip, was with us, so basically, we just did snorkeling in the house reef.
We skipped an excursion in the snorkeling safari.

The real Maldivan feel
This was our third island, after Kuramathi and Olhuvelhu. Filitheyo is a big island but only has 125 villas, so a lot of space on the island is unspoilt and gives you the real Maldivian feel. This gives one disavantage, namely there are a lot of mosquitos

Not as good as I would have expected
I went here with my husband and son and had been told it was one step up from Biyadhoo, and as it was for a big birthday of mine, we opted to go here. The rooms were lovely. The facilities were really good. The food was OK but no better than Biyadhoo.
